A good weekend

So Friday came and I figured I would have a boring weekend. I didn't want to shop for things, I have the necessary things, I figure other apartment things can be Christmas presents. I've been staying busy other weekends by shopping because I have had a lot of things I had to get. So I figured I was going to be lame this weekend, which wouldn't be the end of the world. Instead I decided to run in a race on Saturday. Nothing big just a Halloween race. I did horribly but that wasn't the point of going. I ran with other people and there were people cheering me on, even if they had no clue who I was. I also talked to some nice guys...no numbers though hehe. I won $15 in gift certificates to a hair place in the drawing....pretty sure I got my hair cut last weekend and I liked the place I went but oh well. I came back to my apartment, decided to lift weights...I'm gonna be a strong kid next time you see me. Then I checked my email and I had a response to the post I put on Omaha Running club's website to find a running partner. It was a girl that had also recently moved to Omaha with her husband. Well we emailed back and forth Saturday, then I called her and we decided to meet to run today. Very exciting. It's so nice to have a running partner. She ran in college too, a big school, Iowa State, but still we have much in common. She's finishing up grad school this semester at Iowa State so she's only here on the weekends, but that's ok 1 run a week with a buddy is better than no runs. Yep very exciting.

I also went to church today. I looked online for UCC churches in Omaha, there's a couple pretty close by so I decided to try Countryside Community Church. It's a very big church. Like the 25th biggest in the denomination, so kinda odd for me, but nice too. The senior minister and minister in residence were joking back and forth... I don't know if I'll continue going there or if I'll try out the church that's closer to me and much smaller. We'll see.

Yep so no trick or treaters yet, I didn't think I'd have any, you either have to live here and have a key to get in the building or get buzzed in and I'm not thinking kids are going to do that, so I bought some candy just in case (so that I can have some :)) Yep.

So yeah there ya go another update of my life. Sorry nothing exciting about during the week. I made lots of anklets for the cross country team and the boy situation became less complicated I guess. Why can't my life be simple? I guess it keeps me from getting bored.

Look Alice, you are expanding on your readership! You keep adding one person per post. Maybe this time it will be more than one! I am in a happy mood and yeah none of this was news to me, except the post last week with michelle being there. Don't worry about the simple life. Its a good thing. Don't turn into Paris Hilton you know. Have fun!

I like that the church has "Communit" in the title.

So um,
"the boy situation became less complicated I guess. Why can't my life be simple?"
"I also talked to some nice guys...no numbers though hehe."

That would be why. ;-) :-)

I can't believe you didn't tell me about your blog until now...YOu have left me in the dust Alice...first you leave me here in WI stranded...and then leave me out of your blog life...I'm not sure this whole friendship thing is working out...
I will get over it...
I have questions and more questions but I have a random fact for you instead...
My parents during the school year have sex at least one time a week and three times a week in the summer.
