growing up

Sorry I'm a slacker in the blogging department, but Becky and Claire isnt this far better than I did on my first attempt?

This week hmm...I got to sit in some meetings at work, they are starting to give me more responsiblity, hopefully I can live up to expectations. Jason (the guy I work with the most) and I had 2 senerios to have done by Tuesday and 3 by friday, Which meant I did 2 of them, I did them mostly on my own and got the expected results so that's a good thing. Then Thursday afternoon damn Dollar General assigned us 2 more senerios...they wanted them by 8am Friday. This time there was lots of analysis needed and such. Jason told me to get what I could done on Thursday and he'd finish it all up. Well I wanted to get one of the senerios done so I stayed until like 6 to finish it up. Jason had left early because he had to do some wedding planning things(he got engaged last weekend)...Jason came back at midnight did the remaining senerio and analysis, he worked all night and had his full days work done by like 9 but at to stay till 10 for a phone conference that didnt end up happening. CRAZY.

Friday I worked on the program that I've been fixing the rest of the day and even worked with the intern(who wrote a lot of the program) teaching her things and having her explain things to me. We get to finish that up tomorrow. I hope I get another nonprograming project to work on, they are more rewarding I think.

So this weekend I didnt do too much. I called around for car insurance..it costs more in Nebraska than Wisconsin boo. But I am now all paid up for another 6 months so that's a good deal. I also figured out the rest of my bills I hate spending money, even if I do have it I know that I have loans that I'm going to have to start paying back as well....boo.

Today I went running with Kristy again, this time we went the other way around the lake we got lost at last week, we figured out how we got lost so that's a good deal.

I have now gotten emails from 2 guys about running together. The one I met last weekend at the run and we are suppose to get together sometime to run...hehe I did get his number :P FunnyFunny. The other said he's pretty fast, I replied and said I'm much slower but if he's up to it I'd be glad to run with him. Kristy thinks we should form a group to meet and run together, we don't understand why the Omaha Running Club doesnt already have that. Oh well.

I went to church again today, I didnt like it as much as last week. It's not bad...maybe I just wasnt in the mood I dont know, they admited they were trying new things. I still dont understand why they are making the early service the progressive one, I thought that was normally reserved for late services. A lot of senior citizens go to the 9:30 service...but younger people also go to the service, there are a ton of kids. But it's a big church maybe I should go to the later one, but I like church at 9:30, grocery shopping, lunch, and running with Kristy on Sundays. It'd be like church then running if I went to the later one. I dont know I may try the church that's closer to me and much smaller. Or a friend of mine from high school just moved back to Omaha and she invited me to her church but it's on the other side of town and not the type of church I normally go to. I'll figure something out.

Oh today I also washed my car, I think it's going to take me a few times to actually get all the bird crap off it...I left it a little too long, but my car does look prettier now.

So Becky you are more than welcome for New Years I just get New Years Eve off, but that's a Friday so it's a long weekend for me. I know you get a week but I'd get bored...yeah that's what we'll say I'd get bored with a week off.

Wow this has gotten long again. Maybe I'll update during the week to cut down on the length....or maybe not we'll just have to see.

The more that I'm settled in the more I'm ready to meet people and actually be social. I hope that happens soon

This is great Alice. I get to talk to you on the phone, send text messages, thru AIm, and now... read a blog. You could have a TV show about your life Alice. I hope your run went well, you didnt get lost again did you? ;-) You should talk to the running club and see if you can organize some group runs, you know? I'll talk to you later.

Look how popular you are! Yes, it is much better than the first one. Much better. Ummmm, yeah, I don't remember what else. New Year's, cool, as long as there's not lots of snow. Oh, I think you should call Claire's link "Claire's Fangirlness." Or something like that.
