SO I have decided I want to start reading books for fun again. I used to read like crazy, then I got really busy and that slowed down a lot. Now I have some time and find myself wanting to read. I don't know what to read though. There's so many books and so many things that interest me. I don't know where to start. That's where you come in, lots of you maybe even all of you read a lot, so I'm sure you have suggestions for books for me to read, I'd like your input...because well your opinion means something and you know me..I'm not one for decisions. So leave comments, let me know your choices for books I should read.
I woke up early and ran today, I really like running in the morning. The only problem is actually getting up and running, my bed is so nice. But after I run, I'm happy and awake. It's a great feeling. The back of my knee is sore though, I hope it's just a sore thing and not an injured thing, I think it's just because I'm starting to run consistantly again. I hope I keep up running here, I like it and it's a great way of exploring my surroundings. I know my limits though, I'm not like one of the guys I work with...he called in sick this morning, he's been feeling sick for at least a week, he decided to call in sick because on his way to work out he almost threw up, seriously if you arent feeling well, stay in bed a little longer, don't push yourself to exercise.
Work was work, I'm done with updating that stupid program. YAY. I'm now learning about another process, it's rather slow right now but hopefully we'll get into it soon. I talked more at work today, I think they still think I'm really quite, you know the truth.
Tomorrow I might stop putting off the envitable and go get Nebraska license plates for my car...or I'll just keep pushing it off. I think it's the last thing I have to do that involves moving
I think that's it for now. I miss you all. Chandra I'm not dissing you. I'm just lazy and Becky volunteered to visit :p I actually want to host someone here in my little home, it'll be fun times. Everyone is invited, maybe not at once, that could be kinda crowded...I'll try visiting you sometime as well. I still want to meet Alice. I've never met an Alice that wasnt crazy and I like crazy. I'd also like to go to Dodgeville, it'll happen, I promise. You can show me around. If you stop by on your way to Thanksgiving though, that'd be fun too.

Books, books...hmm, I should really be able to answer that. I haven't read of seen Harry Potter, but I've heard good things. I'd like to read teh Lord of the Rings books too. Right now I'm reading (still been forever, don't read very much) Walking the Literary Labrynth, which I adore, but that's cause it's books and religion and philosophy all rolled into one with a writing style somewhat similar to mine. You probably don't want to read that. Um, I'm also sort of reading Power of a Postive Woman and The Red Badge of Courage. (Maybe I'd get farther if I read one at a time.) Near the top of my to read list are The Great Gatsby and Great Expecations and oh, I can't think of it, but the other one of the three that I always mix up. But you know, I try to focus my reading energies on teh classics and really only read other thigns when someone gives them to me. Which is weird because sometimes I like those more, but still I go back to my list. Oh, Skipping Christmas was good. It's a pertty fast read, so not a lot of commitment there and it's getting close to that time again. Plus the movie is coming out, but now the previews make that look dumb. The first one I saw a really long time ago I thought it looked exactly how I pictured everything except with Tim Allen, but now the new ones make me think they made it a "Tim Allen" movie. *rolls eyes* Not that all Tim Allen movies are bad, they just... oh whatever. I also defer the book question to Claire. She's been having internal issues, so she may not be around here very much.
f you visit Dogeville you totally have to visit P-ville too. It's not even half an hour anymore. Half an hour closer to you, I might add.
Going now before my comment is longer that your entry.
~~Becky (but I'm sure you figured that out already)
Okay. My brain is a little bit fuddled, but you should read Richard Russo. He's incredible, he just knows people and characters SO well, it's really amazing. His small town life is like nothing I've ever seen. If you like sarcasm, go with Straight Man, which is hilarious because it's about this guy who's a middle-aged prof at a smallish college, just absolutely wild. I read it at least once a year and laugh at new stuff every single time. If you want more of an epic, still funny, try Empire Falls, which won a Pulitzer. It's...yeah, no words. LOVE.
I'm stupid. That last post was me. This is me too. -Claire
So I did not meant to say Claire has internal issues. I'm giggling pretty hard now, which isn't good, cause I'm at work.
Internetal. Of the internet.
How come I don't get this many comments? :-(
