I love Sundays. They are great days, I have nothing I have to do. Today I decided to go to church, I tried the church in Ralston which is small and really close by. I drove past it yesterday after returning my library book to the Ralston library (I finished Empire Falls.....thanks for the suggestion Claire it was a great book, I was sad at the end though...) and discovered it has services at 9 and 10:30. I decided if I was up I'd go to the 9am one, I know normally later services are geared towards younger people but at the other church I've gone to in Omaha the earlier service is the contempary one and anyway if I'm up I'd rather go early rather than wait around than go. So I show up at the 9am service, walk in everyone is a senior citizen. They are really nice and talk to me and whatever, but I look in the bullitin, sure enough they have sunday school during the second service, also they dont even have a children's time scheduled for the early service I guess they figure no kids will be dragged with their grandparents and greatgrandparents, seriously I was the youngest by like 30 years at least. So if I decide to go back....I think I'll go to the 10:30 service even though I'd rather go to church at 9...weird because when I lived with my parents I always wanted church to be as late as possible, no matter when it was I'd wake up like 10 minutes before church, throw clothes on and walk across the parking lot to church, yeah I'm cool. Now that I live on my own, I guess I'm more responsible or something, odd.
Oh I finally settled on something for my brother! After you know going to 3 mall type places today and 2 other stores I finally bought stuff for my brother and his finace. Funny thing is when I'd call and tell my parents how frustrated I was that I couldnt figure anything out for my brother they'd laugh and say how ironic it was because my brother said I was the easiest one to buy something for. Yeah, I would be the easiest this year, I sent everyone a damn list so that I'd at least get a present instead of checks and giftcards. As much as checks and giftcards are nice and let you get what you want, I really like suprises. That and my sister sucks at buying gift cards for me, I still have the one from last christmas and the one for my birthday, I settled on something I didnt really want just so that one wouldnt go to waste. So even though I guess checks are less thoughtful than giftcards, I think on some level they are more thoughtful, I mean at least the person can pick from anything at all versus hey go buy something at that store that has nothing you like or everything you want is several times the value of this gift card. Yeah my sister, she's special. ok enough on that rant, time for bed

*tears up check that was to be Alice's Christmas present* ;-)
I'm a little behind in reading, sorry.
I thought waking up 10 minutes before wasn't very much time to get to church, but yeah, I guess if you just have to walk across the parking lot.
