You need to goof off more at work

This was a good week at work. It started off not so briliant. Monday wasnt special and Tuesday.....yeah I over slept, I woke up when I was suppose to be at work, but I got there only a half hour late so not so bad, especially compared to my boss who was an hour and a half late today.....sheese. Two of the guys were on site at a distribution center Tuesday thru Thursday so it was just my boss, two other guys and I most of the week. Which made for a pretty laid back time. We were all informed that two guys are getting promoted to other teams to do things that interest them more. Which is really cool except it leaves 3 Analysts on my team and none of us have been on the team for a year. So that means I have to stop taking it slow and be able to take over some processes. Wow! My boss pulled me aside to talk to me about this yesterday. He wants me to be able to be more of a leader, I think you all know I can be extremely quiet. I'm less quiet now than when I first started but yeah....He wants me to begin being more outspoken and goof off more. Ha! He's not with us very often because he has meetings most of the time, so when he stops by we end up having silly conversations, he wants me to take part in these more. He was like I cant believe I'm telling you to goof off more, usually I'd tell people the opposite. I'm so special I get odd requests. The thing is though.....it isnt the first time I've been told to talk more in fact all the way through school we are talking junior high through college I've been told to talk more....often times the teachers end up regretting this request eventually, but eh I always think it's funny. I really do try not to be so shy but, I dont think it's really a shy thing as much as a, I need to get comfortable and figure out how to react in these situations, what's acceptable. Once I figure it out I'll be all over it. Yep.

Oh I went running Wednesday with Kristy. It's our first time to meet during the week. We ran downtown, it was so pretty with all the lights and we didnt get lost! WooHoo! Afterwords I went to her apartment, it's about the size of mine and I know she pays a lot more. But her apartment is in a really cool artsy building and downtown and the exercise room has lots of neat things. But it makes me feel good because well, my apartment is a good size. Yep that's the moral of that story.

I spent lots of money again. This time on my brother's wedding. I now have the plane tickets. I'm crazy, my brother talked me into taking the latest flight back to Omaha the Sunday after the wedding so I'm not getting home till like midnight and that's as long as my plane doesnt get delayed. I'm going to be a tired girl at work the next day, but how many times will my brother get married..?

Oh and I will hopefully have another visitor next week! I love visitors!
