Long hours

I guess I never really imagined life past college. I really didnt know what I wanted to do. Because I had seen my parents work some odd hours, I never really imagined myelf in a 9 to 5 world. I also never imagined I'd have a cubicle. Even though I did joke about it...remember Junior year girls? I have found myself in the work a day world. I have a cubicle, my very own drab cubicle. But I really am not in the 9 to 5 world. A few weeks ago my boss came to my team and requested that we all work 8 and a half hour days until further notice. Really I'm not sure if he realized we automatically had been putting in extra time, but whatever. That extra half hour turned into extra hours. Which, while tiring, really wasnt so bad. Today the big presentation finally happened. Hopefully we'll have good news next week. My boss told us we can go back to 8 hour days. I'm not so sure if I'll know what to do with myself. I don't know if I'll ever know what to do with free time.

Suggestions for how to use your free time:

1) Husker football
2) Disc golf
3) Karaoke at Jack's Pizza
4) Watch Office Space or read Dilbert and finally grasp that, in a way, they are now as much horror as comedy
5) Budweiser + any of the above

Well Husker football I'll be forced to at least pretend to be interested in because of everyone around me

Disc golf, it's never really excited me but there is a guy at work that plays a lot

Jack's Pizza....Ben, I don't want that guy from your high school making fun of me how can I possibly be as good as him?

Office Space, I feel like I watch that movie every day the amount it gets talked about at work

Budweiser.yeah Ive got that thing against drinking alone

Hmmm, I think I need to clarify something: All of my suggestions are best enjoyed in the company of others. Except maybe karaoke. :)

Ok, I know a lot of people don't think it's ok to drink alone and I'm pretty sure it's a sign of alcoholism, but I don't get that. When people say that do they mean getting drunk? Then I would understand. Maybe it's the way I view drinking. We know I'm not much of a drinker, but when I do drink I basically view it as just a different beverage option. So what wrong with someone having a beer while sitting home alone watching TV istead of a Coke?
