Cell Phones

2 blogs in 2 days? Yep I'm feeling motivated for the time being. Those of you that I talk to on the *gasp* phone know that I have less than perfect reception in my apartment. It's kinda sad that it actually has improved since I first moved in. Anyone remember that? Back in the day when I was stuck with a Chicago number because Omaha didn't have Cingular yet. I was stuck in a contract and was assured everything would be switched to Cingular in a couple months so I dealt with it. Well now my contracts up and it's time to get a new phone or a new provider. I went and talked to the guy in the Cingular store yesterday. I asked if service was suppose to improve at all and how much better my reception could get with a new phone. Of course the guy told me things would get better, what salesman would say any differently? Apparently the towers were just upgraded in Iowa and now they are working on Omaha so in a couple weeks things should be better. He also told me a new phone would work so much better than what I currently have and I should get a phone from him and not online...he didn't actually have a good argument for this one. So I think my current plan with my stupid phone is to wait it out till August or so and if things aren't noticeably better I'll probably switch to Verizon, if they improve I'll get a pretty new phone and stick with Cingular. One day you'll be able to call me and not wonder how long it'll be till the conversation gets dropped.
